Sun Runners v0.5

The year 2202. Humanity has spread out across the stars.

But you're on a frozen rock halfway between somewhere and anywhere.

How did you get here? Well, humans rent out their bodies to companies who load up  AI pilots. Maybe for a few hours, maybe for weeks. Or years. It all depends on the contract. (Survival tip: read the fine print.)

That’s how YOU, the Player-Protagonist, came to be onboard the Sun Runner, a survey rover on a distant and desolate extraction planet. But your AI pilot doesn’t have full control of your body.  

You’re the only vehicle on the planet which turns slowly, so stay in the light to power the Sun Runner.

Keep moving forward.

Travel between abandoned outposts, enigmatic wrecks, and isolated mining colonies. 

Search and salvage, trade and upgrade. Recruit adventurous humans, rogue robots, and even stranger crew.

Find a way to escape the planet or earn enough to buy your freedom.

OR... forge a network of communities to break the Corporations’ power. They’ll hit back with spies and saboteurs so make those bonds unbreakable. 

Grow from a smuggler to a leader, to a liberator.

And stay in the sun. Or freeze. To death!
